Why was my Interlibrary Loan request rejected?
Answer
If an interlibrary loan request is canceled you will be sent an email that will explain in a short sentence why it was rejected.
- The requested item is too new to be purchased and held in libraries.
- Citation might be incorrect. Please double check the citation and resubmit with additional information if rejected.
- The item does not meet a lending parameter: it is in reference, on reserve, a textbook or too fragile/rare. Options: We can request a chapter, section or specific set of pages be scanned. Communicate with ILL staff for further assistance.
- Publishers issue content online and items are available only for a fee. The library does not purchase these items individually.
- The libraries listed do not have the item currently.
If you still need the item, please reach out to interlibrary loan staff and/or librarians for further assistance.
